First Cart
Hey Guys,
I just bought my first cart, a basic 2007 Precedent, 2010 batteries, folding rear seat, head lights and tail lights. It is much slower than my neighbors 1992. What can I do to effectively and economically increase the speed? George |

Re: First Cart
Hey Culln5, my first post here too. I have been reading here a lot though.
I have a Precedent with speed setting 4 (private), a dealer will have to program your controller for you, maybe around $120, that is what they charged me. 18-20MPH. Or if you have the right motor you can change the magnet in the speed sensor on back of motor which will give you about the same speed as the setting 4. Think those magnets are about $35, but make sure you research to make the magnet will work with your motor/speed sensor. Like Hanny said to go any faster it is likely you will be looking at spending some bigger bucks. I know cuz thats what I am doing. Looking at a controller upgrade with a high speed/torque motor. Just depends on how fast you want to go. |
