How to tell an orig 4 seater Precedent!!
Hi
I asked this question but didn't receive an answer. How can I tell if a 4 seater precedent was an original and not a 2 seater converted into a 4 seater. As we know it's an easy thing to do but l also know that most 2 seaters were used as golf carts that came off lease and this is not what l am looking for. Thanks Alan |

Re: How to tell an orig 4 seater Precedent!!
Im not sure that there are alot of factory 4 seaters out there. If a two seater is a goid cart, just add a second seat, its not a big deal. No matter what cart you end up buying (i think you said you were only going to buy a used cart from a dealer in your previous posts) do your homework, ask questions, check batteries, ect... And you should end up with a great cart.
I purchased my cart off an on line auction site here in michigan. I scoped the cart out, visited it, drove it, bid on it and then converted it to 8v batteries and a few toys. Im very happy with my previously used cart. (cart was owned by a golf course previously) |

Hi
You are probably right and the more l think about it a person who drives around a community or town will log on more miles and time then driving around a golf course. At least most golf courses have tech's who service the carts. Alan |

What is the serial number of the cart? The first two letters will provide info as to being a possible factory 4 passenger unit . . .

Re: How to tell an orig 4 seater Precedent!!
Hi
I am really sorry to hear that! I am very anal when it comes to condition and keeping everything in top running condition. But l just can't see spending $7000 plus for a new cart just to drive around a community. I have seen pristine CC Precedent 4'seaters for approx $5000 with a warranty and new everything's including Trojan batteries but l am talking about only 2010's. I might look for a demo or just pick up a new one being that the season in Ga. is coming to an end. A left over would be fine if the color was right and the price was right. I have a golf cart garage so it would be neat to have a cart in it. |

Just get a refurbed car from a dealer. They'll fix whatever is wrong with it. There's a couple of courses here that have flipped the same car 2 or 3 times and we just keep fixing it. Money's no big deal to them evidently.

Re: How to tell an orig 4 seater Precedent!!
Hi
Being that this going to be my first cart l would feel better only dealing with An authorized CC dealer. Not looking to save a dime and then costing me a quarter. There are too many carts for sale from what l call used car dealers and individuals looking to make a buck and taking shortcuts. It all sounds good reading and looking at pictures on various sites but l need a local dealer l can depend on. Alan |

Re: How to tell an orig 4 seater Precedent!!
Alan, there are alot of nice carts out there for sale by private owners and there are also some crappy ones. It would take some knowledge buying from a private owner and since you are looking to get one soon after you arrive down there the best option is a CC dealer. I didn't have to search far and was very lucky that my companies owner had a 2005 stored away which I bought last summer and it was only used 4 times and was like showroom new.
