12 volt to 8 volt conversion
Well, since my cart is tore apart waiting for my new motor and controller, I decided to rectify another problem, getting rid of the 12 volt batteries. Read Canine-rescue-pilots sticky a few times and decided that was what I was gunna do.
I have a roto zip and I put one of those drill bits on and it goes througgh that plastic like melted butter. No wire looms cut so far, lol. 45 minutes to finish one side will do the other Saturday. So far so good. Really appreciate all the helpful info on this site, it's awsome. |

Re: 12 volt to 8 volt conversion
I am not sure about changing the OBC and even though Canine-Auto-Pilot had a good write up on why he did no change it, I would welcome any opinion on this, thanks.

Re: 12 volt to 8 volt conversion
Just picked up my Trojan 875's, $903 after tax, ouch, and that was after a 15% discount, hope I did not get taken too bad.
Considered Crown but nobody locals sells them, other chiice was US Battery but there batteries sweat too much and make a mess, and spill acid on my concrete and lots of corrosion, I have had better experiences with. trojan so I was willing to fork out the extra money |
