Default Wiring for stereo on 07 precedent

I have an elite dash I am going to install. Have stereo and speakers already. I have a voltage reducer coming next week. I would like to go ahead and install everything today. I was going to run it to the battery to just make sure everything worked and then hook up reducer when it comes in next week. My question is do I run the black ground from the radio to the negative post and the wire to the positive post?? Where do I run the acc memory wire to? I was going to install a toggle switch also. 1 more thing. Do I need to buy separate yellow wire for the acc hook up or can I just use red wire and mark it with tape as acc? If anyone can help me with these wiring questions I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Do you have (4) 12v batteries or (6) 8v batteries?

You can use any color for the memory wire. You can use any of the four batteries to hook the radio up for the time being. The most popular is #4 which is passenger side front. Hook the power lead and memory wire to the positive post of battery #4 and the neg wire to the neg post of battery #4. Never ground anything to the carts frame on an electric cart.

What will the toggle switch be used for?

I was going to use it to cut power to radio. Or is that like beating a dead horse?

Thats up to you. When you connect the converter I would connect it so it turns on/off with your ignition. But if you want the radios memory to stay intact then you need to wire the memory wire to a constant 12v even when the cart is off.

Ok. I did something wrong. I just burned a switch up. I have the yellow And red wire coming from the positive terminal. Also a black from the negative as well. An in line fuse from wire to the wire going to toggle switch. I connected 2 wires together for all wires. Red, yellow, and black. I put the ground connection on toggle switch then when I was connecting the yellow to the acc prong it sparked. I connected two wires for each color for one in and one out. Is this wrong??

Should be red and yellow wire to positive on battery #4 and the black ground wire to the neg on battery #4. Forget the switch. Put the in line fuse to the red wire.
