Controller Question

I have a pic, on the upper left you will see where a 4 pin connector should go. Do I need this when I hook up my new Alltrax dcx500?
Sorry pic came in sideways so 4 pin is at bottom left.

That is where the Curtis handheld programmer plugs in. Normally a pigtail goes from there to under the dash or under the seat or under the f and r rocker switch. Not needed with after market controller
