99 electric club car clicks and won't move. intermittent forward and reverse
99 club car 48 volt intermittently clicks and wont move forward or reverse. After what sems like a reset click it allows me to make another attempt. After a few times it will move but only if I ease into the accelerator. At times, It will stop during foward or reverse The problem is getting worse. Newer batteries and fully charged. I'm new to the forum and this is my first cart. Thanks and I'll take any advice.

start with basics, batteries and cables make sure batteries are good under load and all cables are clean and tight...........you can try jumping solenoid see if cart runs everytime....even a clicking solenoid can be bad.....also F&Rswitch......................................... ....

Re: 99 electric club car clicks and won't move. intermittent forward and reverse
Just switched out one of the solenoids. Decided to switch out the hardest one first and test. That wasnt the bad one, but now I don't have to switch it out for a long while. I moved the one I just removed to the other side and now it works perfectly. I know I'll have to replace it eventually but I'm up and running. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

you swapped the reagan soleniod if your cart has 2 of them, the solenoid without the big resistor coil is the master the other is the reagan.................................

Re: 99 electric club car clicks and won't move. intermittent forward and reverse
you mean you swapped the coil from one to the other? if so put it back to its original location.....they are the same exact solenoids its the wiring thats different........something isn,t making sense here........the reagan solenoid ( the one with coil ) is for reagan braking system ( sorta like a jake brake ) unless you just had a loose wire or connection that when you started working on it you tightened it up but you want that resistor coil where it belongs..............................

Yes, I swapped the coil to the new solenoid and it was put in original position. Didn't know the difference between the two solenoids. I'm new to golf carts and I'm learning. You helped me and now I know a lot course about solenoids. Much thanks
