Lestronic II not working
Hello, I have a Lestronic II 36V that is not working at all, no hum, no nothing. It has the gauge and fuse on the left and the circuit board on the right. I replaced the relay, still nothing, I continuity tested the capacitor (I think that's what it is) in the back on the right side and showed nothing. Could this be the problem?, is it the circuit board??
This is not my field. |

Re: Lestronic II not working
most of the time if the capacitor is bad the charger will come on, but the meter wont move and it wont put out voltage. Are you assuming the charger is the problem or are you working on a cart that is completely dead and the charger wont come on when you plug it in?

Re: Lestronic II not working
I have a 1990 CC DS and I'm getting new batteries for it tomorrow. I know the batteries are bad. I had plugged the charger into it and had nothing, so I put a volt meter on the crows foot plug and it read 0, so I assumed the charger was bad too. I just thought that there would be some sign of life from the charger. Is this were I went wrong? Will it hum, vibrate, light up or something when it's on? Or does it know it's not plugged up so it won't turn on. It sounds like I'm trying to fix something that may not be broken. If it is a charger that only works when plugged into the cart is there some way to test the out put without the cart?
Thanks |

Yes the charger needs a certain amount of voltage cingular from the batteries to kick on, do your prob trying to fix something that isn't even broken If the batteries are dead. Try it again after the new batteries are installed and you may be surprised

Re: Lestronic II not working
camaroluvz28, thanks, you were right, there was nothing wrong with the charger. I installed the new batteries, plugged in the charger and in no time the pack was fully charged.
Now on to a 48v conversion for it. |
