Light Kit Fuse

Before I short out anything on my new cart, I figured it would be better to ask first then plug stuff in and turn it on.

I have a light kit for my Precedet and I am down to just connecting the fuse. The directions are as follows.

2. Locate the blue wire coming off battery #4 positive connection and connect to the long lead of the fuse assembly.

3. Locate the single 12 gauge blue wire with the spade terminal coming from the passenger side of the electronic component area and connect the short lead coming from the fuse assembly.

My questions are
-Is the electronic component the controller?
-Is the blue wire connecting to the controller the blue wire they are mentioning in step 3?
-If so, what do I do with the blue wire that was attached to the controller? It is coming from the rear.

Not sure what year cart you have but they are talking about the blue wire in the bucket area that is part of your bucket harness. There should be a blue pigtail in that area and that pigtail alone with the blue one at battery #4 are joined together by the fuse jumper.


In your first pic is where you want to look for the short pigtail with a spade connector. Sometimes it's hidden well and dirty so it blends in but it's there.

I have an '05. Is the blue wire they are taking about already connected to something. Can you take a picture of yours?

All the wires I see are connected to something. I appreciate your help

No. It's is a loose wire with a spade terminal end on it. Look really good as it's there. It more then likely is hidden by some other wires and dirty so it blends in well.

Ok, i'll look again. Is the bucket harness basically all the wires that are hidden by the cover to the controller and innards?

Yes.. You will see a clump of wires that run to the front of the cart and that is where it should be.

Ha, you the man erict. It was pressed up against the controller and looked like it was connected to it.

Lights work, the back aren't as bright as I would like. But they'll do the trick.

The Speedy Link is pretty impressive. Went 21 mph on flats and down hill. 20 mph with a passenger. I was considering getting a PQ motor, but that might move down the list on priorities for the cart.
