Go faster.. Many use a 36v motor running 48v. I'm just not sure of all the details.

The speed I think will be faster......, but could it cause it to over heat the motor and, or controller? Then shut down?

The motor will be fine. The solenoid may last a while. The controller will release its magic smoke unless it is rated for that voltage. You also need a 48v charging solution.

you,ll need to get a 48 volt solenoid and get your F&R heavy duty but your motor and controller should handle it fine ...........other than that charging may be an issue your not gonna get away with a 36 volt charger......to be on safe side try and find out if controller is 36/48 volts............................
