Bunrt up controller
I have a 1998 non-regen 48 volt clubcar, my speed controller smoked. it has a curtis 1204-410(225amp), there is no post in the A2 position if I upgrade this controller to one with that has that terminal how do I rewire it, do I just leave that position blank or would it be best to just replace with the same one? I really want to put a faster motor on it later so I would really like to upgrade the controller now.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, wish I could afforrd the controller motor cables kit from this site, it is slightly hilly where I use this cart. My wife has heart problems and uses this thing to go up and down the hill to our boat dock so torque is what I need. Thanks Larry |

Good deal Larry........
And there are better qualified folks here that can answer your questions better than I can, when it comes to matching controllers up with the correct motors. |

Re: Bunrt up controller
I think you can get an upgraded controller that will fit this cart and with more amps you may be satisfied with the way it pulls the hill...

Re: Bunrt up controller
with the new controller if it dosn,t have the A-2 lug you need to bolt the 2 cables that go there togather and than tape them up real good and secure them somewhere.......lots of the new controllers don,t use the A-2 lug anymore.....when you buy the controller it should tell you just what to do which will be what i,m telling you...........................

Re: Bunrt up controller
If the controller has an A2 post it interrupts between the A2 motor post and the f/r switch.
