I just picked up an 06 CC DS -- increase speed?
I recently picked up a 2006 DS IQ (4-12v) and I'm curious what is the best bang for your $$ when wanting to increase the top speed by a little? I believe it is currently set at Stage 3 as it cruises in the 15mph range. I'm not looking for anything crazy as I plan to use it around our property, but 20mph would be nice when needed.
Does stepping it up to the factory "stage 4" setting hurt the low-end torque? It already has a 6" lift and 22" tires. Thanks! |

Depending on what your CC dealer in your area charges for the Stage 4 upgrade, a Speedy Link or similar product is what you might want to consider.
The cheapest I could find in my area for a stage 4 upgrade was $150 and I had to rent a trailer to drop off and pick up. That would be another $60 for a a total of $210 for CC to do it. Speedy link was $140 and they got it to you in about a week. I started going 13 mph when I first got the cart, and now I top off between 21-22 by myself. All stock cart Good Luck! |

thanks. Is the speedy link basically the "plug and play" that overrides the factory stage system?
