Speed sensor might be bad?

I have done the roll test, and have no resistance or the beeps that I have read on here about, that I should have with a good speed sensor. This is my first cart, and know very little. I have no wiring diagram to locate and replace this part, if this is the problem. Also, how can I determine what my Speed Code is? Any info on any subject matter for this cart would be greatly appreciated.

Give us your cart's serial number which will give us the cart's age and we can go from there.

Seems to run just fine on flat ground. Gets really slow on the hills. Doesn't have to be a very big hill either.

If you had a bad speed sensor the cart would go into limp mode and wouldn't be fast on flat ground. So your speed sensor is fine. Now it's just a nature of the beast on electric cars being slower up hills. If it's just creeping then you may have a battery issue. Charge the cart and then after the charge let them rest for 12 hours and take a pack reading. Then do a load test on them by just connecting the meter to one battery and driving the cart and watch the meter and record that reading and do the same for the rest of your batteries. Then post all you readings on here.

OK thanks. I have it on charge now. The batteries were supposedly only 2 years old, you know how that goes, but the dates on the battery post are 6L. I take that as meaning Dec of 06. Is that correct?

That is correct. Two year old batteries can fail as you don't know the history of how well they were maintained.

Appreciate the info. Seems like I should try some new batteries as a remedy. These batteries do look in very good shape, and are really clean. No corosion anywhere. Of course that doesn't mean that the guy I bought it from didn't do a nice clean up job on them either. After all, he did say they were supposed to only be 2 years old. And since I bought this from a dealer, I would say that he knows about the "stamp on the battery post" thing.

before just throwing batteries at it check the ones you have, load test...test each cell with hydrometer......make sure .........................................
