Default 96 CC need controller 400amp? Have stock motor

I have a 96 CC and my controller is bad so I was thinking of buying a higher amperage I still have a stock motor with 22" tires it's my kids cart it ran fine but the cap on the end of the controller was missing and got wet when pressure washing. The cart could stand a little more torque on hills would this help?

I don't know if you are 36 or 48v but I've looked at these controllers off eBay. Can't tell you anything about them as I have never owned one but they are priced right.

I don't think it would kill the motor if that is what you are asking. With 22" tires it should make a really big difference.
