Default Battery Voltage Monitor

Hello,

I see that there is a voltage monitor system for sale on eBay that monitors all the batteries individually.

What are the real advantages of this type of system?

If the voltage monitor system that monitors them all together indicates low voltage is it as simple as putting a meter on each batter to find the bad one?

Thanks

Tom

Ok I guess no need for the individual battery system.

Thanks

I agree with Gorno and, although we carry battery status indicators, I would recommend you check out Scotty B's meters as they are very nice!

Does Scotty ever run deals on them? I'm in no hurry and I think they are a bit pricey.

Thanks

Just think of the price of batteries when it's time to purchase... It's well worth the cost to know where you pack stands and when it's time to charge before it's to late.

Hmm, I just looked at that. Very nice, and reasonably priced. Listed as Golf Cart Battery Meter. Seller has 100% feedback.

He doesn't mention if the settings are for batteries 1 thru 6 AND overall pack voltage. If not, I bet he could set them up that way, if requested.

If it has overall pack voltage, I think it's a great setup.

I may look into adding a rotary switch like that to my existing Trail Tech Striker Speedometer/voltmeter. It would add a whole mess of extra wires, though!

If $35 for the rotary switch version on eBay isn't enough, take a look at the BattSix setup!

Speaking of wow factor! (and a Wow price tag! $299 for the Bluetooth iPhone setup, $399 for a plug-in display version)

My cart has the indicator light to tell me when the batteries are at 25% life. Shouldn't that be sufficient to keep me out of trouble?

The app is a bit over the top. I could see that being cool for a battery bank that powers your house but for a golf cart seems like a bit much.
