Voltage Reducer and Accessories
Hi Guys..I have installed a 48v to 12v reducer on my club car Precedent. Now I'm wondering what is the best way to hook up more than one 12v accessory. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Voltage Reducer and Accessories
I've bought two voltage reducers and have had ZERO luck.
My cart is 36V. I bought one for 90$ (18A) and it was dead in a week. I bought one for 20$ (5A) and it didn't last 5 minutes. (Yeah I didn't expect much.) I was only going to use that one to run the constant power to my radio head unit. What brand did you buy? I'd really like to find one that works so I can draw across the whole pack and not two batteries. I know it's not good for them to do so. |

Re: Voltage Reducer and Accessories
Ever think about getting another 12v battery to run all your accessories off of?

Re: Voltage Reducer and Accessories
What kind of fuse block should I get? Is there a certain type? Also, where would you mount it? I thought about a seep rate 12 volt battery but where would you mount it in a cc precedent? I play golf on mine, so the bag well is out in my case. Any ideas??

Re: Voltage Reducer and Accessories
I placed mine in the center console, I also made a custom dash for my radio and switches that hide it. You can even tell it's in there.
I hade to use a dremel and cut a segment out of the back for it to lay flush. I didn't want to have to weld a bracket to the frame, since I don't even know how to do that. Zcook-are thouse 12'' wheels? Any rubbing issues? |

Re: Voltage Reducer and Accessories
I have that elite dash in mine. Plenty of room behind it for a batt. Would just have to figure out how to run leads for charging. On the wheels, no rubbing at all. The ones I wanted were inset more and they said If i got those I would have to have a 3" lift or do some cutting to keep it from rubbing. I just got different ones and they do to rub at all. The wheels I got are the SS tempest.

Re: Voltage Reducer and Accessories
Zcook-What exact tire size/wheel/off set did you get? I would love to get 12" and not have to worry about rubbing.
For my accessories battery, I have it hooked up to a quick connect and use a separate charger for that one. |
