Ok I'm Lost on the Wiring
I keep seeing "wiring diagrams" for each model year of club cars. HOwever what I don't understand is two things. #1 what if your not using stock wiring and parts, how does a stock wiring diagram help or where do you get a diagram for what happens when you update stuff. For instance my 98 Club car has a resistor coil and all that jaz, yet I'm pretty sure I'm putting in a throttle conversion kit and wont be using the coil anymore.
#2 on the wiring diagrams that I've seen when a wire crosses over another one does that mean it makes a connection there with it or is it just how they drew it to help you see where each wire goes? |

If you lose the original instructions with the wiring diagram on how to install a custom or modified part, then it's time for the Post N Prey method. Post pictures of what you have with a description of what's going on and Prey someone knows how to get it running again! As far as the stock wiring diagram, it'll show you where everything is supposed to go before any modificatios were done. Some parts of the system will not be changed with modifications & upgrades. Battery connections on the motor and the Foward and Reverse switch come to mind as an example of things that would more than likely be the same. Quote:
If a line ends where it meets another line or there is a dot where the lines cross, then there is a connection. Unless the wiring diagram is an extremely simple one, there just isn't a way to physically draw the wiring diagram without having the lines needing to cross one another. This is why it is done this way. -Scott H. |

Re: Ok I'm Lost on the Wiring
Thanks Scott I probably jumped the gun as my parts aren't here yet and they may have explained everything. I guess I was slightly freaking out at the sight of my naked aluminum frame with no wiring anywhere and thinking I'm about to turn this sitting frame into something that actually moves all by myself. I was trying to read so I could get a head start before parts arrived, but I'll just wait till i get em and go from there.
