Help with DC to DC Converter Wiring
I need some help with the wiring on a DC to DC converter which I am about to install on my cart. As you can see by the attached photo, it is a 4 wire set-up. The output seems simple with the green being the + and producing 12V and the black being the -. I assume these would go to the + and - feeding my light kit? I also assume the input red wire would be feeding the 48V to the converter. I am confused as to what the yellow wire which is labeled control connects.

Re: Help with DC to DC Converter Wiring
The one I put in my cart had same colors but they were: Green is ground, yellow is to power your accessories, black is ground and red goes to the last positive on the pack. All ground goes to first negative in the pack.
By the label in your picture, yours is different than mine. Just remember all ground goes to either b- on the controller or to first - terminal on pack. |

Re: Help with DC to DC Converter Wiring
If I took a guess I would have to say the yellow is a power control to turn the reducer on/off and uses one common ground for input and output. THIS IS ONLY A GUESS and you will have to confirm with a meter.

Re: Help with DC to DC Converter Wiring
This was my guess as well. If this is the case, would the red and yellow get a 48V feed? If it matters, the red wire has the inline fuse.

Re: Help with DC to DC Converter Wiring
I would say yes. Take a 9v battery and a digital meter and see if it will test with only a 9v. Once again, a guess......... Some of the reducer/converters out there have a switched feed wire so you can wire it to turn on/off with the cart.

Re: Help with DC to DC Converter Wiring
I just found some instructions on the site. Maybe I can understand them. I glad you asked for the link or I would have not thought to go back to the site.
