91 cc 36v won't go

I have a 91 36v cc with 1 solenoid and vglide. I get a click from the solenoid when I push the pedal and I have 37 volts going in and out of the solenoid. I checked the motor posts and I get 36v at the white wire coming from f/r switch and 18v coming from the black wire coming from f/r switch. The white lug on the motor is 2nd from the bottom and the black is the 4th and they are all in a row. nothing on the other 2 posts. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your f/r switch for any signs of burning or melting. That is a normal cause of your problem. Your motor could be faulty but usually is not the case.

Did not see any external signs of burning or melting. Do I need to disassemble to check it out? Thanks

You shouldn't have to disassemble to check for that.

The V-glide assembly that is between the batteries closest to the drivers side. It may have a broken wiper wire. That would be my next suspect.

I will have to get my multi meter out and check them for continuity. I did a visual check and they were connected. I noticed the red wire came from the key switch and the green wire came from the Solenoid, is that correct. I read somewhere it was powered through the F/R switch. Also what voltage shoud be a the micro switch. Thanks again.

If you get a solenoid click those small wires are doing their job, without a doubt.

on the bottom of the v-glide a white wire comes in, and it is supplying voltage that is carried by a wiper arm, that passes to the other wires which correlate to a spot on the resistor.

Pull on the wiper switches wire and see if it is broken off at the base.

Also you can pull it out a little bit and see if it looks burnt also.

The large white wire was not broken, it was a little loose, I took it apart and made sure it was clean and tightened it back up. I had to pull the batteries to check it and I will put them back in and let you know what happens.

I put it back together and it did not work. I did check the voltage on the back side of the vglide on all the posts and they were all 37 volts as I pressed the gas pedal.
