Default 03 Club Car won't charge

I have an 03 club car ds 48v that just won't charge. I plug the charger in and it buzzes, but the amp meter won't move at all. Battery light on the cart comes on the cart when plugged up. It still can be driven, but it is not because I don't want to kill the batteries.

Checked voltage 8.2-8.3 for each one.

Reset the OBC following the sticky guide and still no success.

What else can be done?

if you can drive cart with charger plugged in then lock out circuit in OBC went bad so you,ll need an OBC.....if david reads this maybe he can confirm but i,m almost positive its your OBC.................................

It sounds as if the control circuit of the OBC is telling the charger to turn on, but the charge circuit is blown. It turns the charger on, but once it's on it can't sense any voltage, therefore the ammeter won't rise. You can confirm this by taking a jumper wire and clipping it from the small fuse that's "Bolted" to the back of the charger receptacle. Clip the other side of the jumper to the MAIN negative post of the battery pack. The same post in which the black wire is bolted to that runs through the center of your OBC. This will allow the charger to see voltage once it turns on. Try that and plug it in and see if the ammeter will respond. If it does, replace OBC. If it doesn't you may have a charger issue.

Might have done it wrong, because I did not follow ^ those directions. I took a wire and ran it from the yellow fuse holder that came from the charge receptacle. The wire was short, maybe 6" that ran from the receptacle, the other wire was long and ran into a closed plastic snake thing.

Anyways, the charger just clicked, but still did not work. I read once, and can't find it now about bypassing something in the charger.

Don't have another cart or charger to try my stuff on.

edit: was I supposed to leave the fuse in?

edit 2: also when i reset the obc i get no reverse buzz

You did it right, but you only did half of it. jump BOTH fuses to B-... The one in the yellow fuse holder will make it click, but if it cant sense power it won't charge. Jump the bolt on fuse to ensure you've got direct battery power to the receptacle. They should both be jumped in order to make sure the charger works. Also, you can leave the fuse in the yellow fuse holder as long as the fuse is good.

I must be an idiot. This is what I did. I opened the yellow fuse holder and stuck my wire in it. I then unbolted the negative bolt on the battery, put my wire on the post and bolted it back down.

Plugged in the charger to cart, then wall. I drew a picture, which you may have to do if I am not doing it right.

Are you saying take two different wires and run it from each side of the fuse holder to the battery?

Two Fuses, Two Jumpers. Fuse A is bolted onto receptacle. Fuse B is in yellow fuse holder. Use one jumper from Fuse A to B-, Use the other jumper from Fuse B to B-

Finally got around to testing it. It looks like it is the obc. Do I need to get a part number off of it, or are they all the same?

Can these be repaired? Where is the best place to buy? Site sponsors link does not seem to work.
