NOOB Help!! Clicking
Hello all, Just picked up a early 90's electric club car last night
I am having some problems. This is my first cart ever so bare with me When I press the pedal down to move i hear about 5 clicks or so and it will not start to move untill it is all the way down to the floor. then it takes off like a bat out of hell. I am guessing it has something to do with the soleinods but i am un sure. Any advice on how to test or what i may need to replace would be greatly appreciated. Apparently the batteries were all new last year. Thanks in advance |

Re: NOOB Help!! Clicking
welcome, simple enough, all you have is high speed........your problem is either the 3 middle solenoids, your furthest lest one is good thats the master ( cart runs ) your furthest right one is good thats 4th speed so your missing 1st,2nd,and 3rd speeds.....................since your hearing them click i would think the microswitches are good and therefore replacing those 3 center solenoids will eliminate your whiplash senerio...............suggestion you might want to think about changing all 5 solenoids while your doing this because the other 2 may go at any time..................while your at it inspect all resistor coils mounted on top of solenoids make sure all are good, no breaks and good and clean and also the buss bar that runs across the solenoids..........before you do anything disconnect main pos and neg battery cables.....................................
