Need help with 04 Precedent
I have been lurking around here for quite a while but have never needed any help until now. My Cart stopped on me this past week. It doesn't move in forward or reverse. I have poked around for some earlier posts and made a few checks. The solenoid clicks when I try to start. The battery charge seems ok. It is 50.9 across the entire bank and each individual battery reads 12.6 - 12.7. These are no load readings. With the cart in Tow I disconnected the batteries and I pulled the panel to have a look at the motor and found the white wire connected to A2 is melted away from the lug. I did a motor check by removing all the wires and measured with my DVM. A1 & A2 have continuity. F1 & F2 have continuity. There is no continuity between any post and the case. I will need to repair the melted wire but what should my next check be. Thanks for you help.

Re: Need help with 04 Precedent
Yea when I can get to town I'll bet some more lugs and see what it does then. We (my wife and I) were coming up a pretty big hill and it all of a sudden went dead. I have smelled something getting hot now and then but I didn't know where it was coming from. I guess I know where it was now.

Re: Need help with 04 Precedent
Once you repair the wire I bet it runs. There may have been a loose or corroded connection that cause it to heat up and melt. Just a guess. Make sure to check the whole cable out.

Thanks for replying. I'll be getting that wire repaired in the next day or two and see where it stands.
