My only concern is, does the buzzer generate some sort of heat while going off and now i've blocked the heats escape hole with foam?
Even if it did burn out after 10 years would you rather hear the noise coming from behind the dash or the person in the passenger seat ???

Found it! Used the ear plug trick. Now no noise at all. Will just keep this in during hunting season. Thanks everyone!

I cut a circle out of an old beer koozie, placed it over the buzzer and wire-tied it. Works great.

interesting dialog. I haven't taken the panel off yet, but pretty sure the alarm is right near the F/R switch. I like the idea of muffing the alarm. Is disconnecting the alarm an "all-or-nothing" choice? The alarm also provides diagnostic info, which I found quite valuable shortly after purchasing a used cart.

lets start with a cart, a cart is silent when it takes off, you turn the key on, no noise, and step on the go pedal and off you go, and the person standing behind you gets run over because there was no warning, and a lot of people, dogs and children have been run over from people unhooking the reverse alarm,,

now a truck, you can hear when it cranks up before they put it in reverse and warn's you so you don't get run over, and just about every large truck has one,, Motorcycles DON'T have reverse, a couple do , but again they make noise before they back up, a boat is out in the water no one to back over, and again a boat makes noise before it can back up,, a jet ski well i'm not even going to answer that one,, and a four wheeler is out in the woods, and again it has to crank up and make noise like a alarm before it backs up,

Dammn, i knew i shouldn't have unhooked that back up alarm

If that's the reason then why in heck do they put that itty bitty alarm in the front hidden under the cowl ?.AND some people cant hear that audible noise including ME.I got tired of others telling me to turn my alarm off or take it out of reverse so I finally unplugged it !.
I think it is more for trouble shooting and keeping cart makers out of lawsuits if you ask me.
