Default 48v resistor cart?

I just bought a 93 club car sight unseen and it showed up with 6 8v batteries and resistor coils and two coils burnt. Did they even make these or did an idiot put the wrong batts in?

This is why it bugs me when somebody posts that they have 48v in their resistor cart.... they say it works great but they never come back and say for how long. 5 solenoid carts are not much better with the additional voltage.

how long we been preachin that scotty? long time now.....i chuckle when someone says thats how mine is and it works fine.....yeah it does for awhile but sooner rather then later coils are gonna melt along with parts of the v-glide after that..........the only way to stop that is to drive with pedal to floor all the time coils will last longer but end results the same......................
