good deal or run....
ok guys i found a decent cc electric cart all stock. all it says on the tag is 500 bucks. has cahrger, and needs new batterys. it does have 6 6 volt trojans in it. i never checked the date on it, due to it being sitting outside for a while. i got the serial number and it comes to be a 1992. its got a pretty blue glittery body and the seats look good and top looks good. no hole seen. tires.....dry rotten and flat. oh and no lights, or windshield. but it has a rear flap on the back. tell me what youall think......

Re: good deal or run....
it's a resistor coil cart..... so if you want a project to convert to solid state and put new batteries in etc, then it is a good choice.

Re: good deal or run....
I think it depends on what your goals are. New tires probably around $200, if you get new wheels too probably $4-500. Around $700 for new bats. So you are in it for around $1400 to $1800 and you still do not know if it runs. I think you could find a newer running cart for around 2k. Good example is me, I have a year 2000 DS for sale with new tires and wheels, new controller and solenoid, new f/r switch, high speed motor, new roof, hd leaf springs, new brakes, and I do not think I will see anything over $2200

Re: good deal or run....
For comparison....
I bought my 1983 CC DS for $480.00 with year old batteries and it runs. To date I have replaced: 2 rims and tires = 10 bucks they were take offs (used) at my local CC dealer/shop 1 solenoid = 20.00 same place 1 5 panel rear view mirror = 28.00 4 hub caps take offs (used) = free So if you plan on all new electronics, lift kit, new rims-tires and the like offer 250.00 and take it from there. |
