Default 1993 Club Car Bad Motor?????

On the course and the cart wouldnt move after i hit a shot... I checked all voltages going into solenoid and all the way to the motor and I had 36.8 volts... is there a reset button on the motor or something that i overlooked? I haven't pulled motor out .. but i Hear they are pretty bullet proof

try jumping the solenoid before you yank motor.....there are several other things that will fail before motor..........you say you have voltage? have you load tested each battery? it only takes one....how about cables? all tight and clean, cables at motor? i would start by jacking rear up and jumping large post on solenoid if cart runs you found your problem ............very very common......................................

i tested each battery... all around 6.4-6.6... i checked the solenoid with a multimeter and seen the 36.8 volts jump across when i press accelerator... so i assumed that the solenoid is good... i recently replaced the solenoid ... 3 weeks ago.. but the cart has run fine since i replaced. cables on batterys are tight .. the motor appears tight... a guy told me to jack up the rear as well and see if you have any movement at the same time to tap motor lightly with a hammer.. i havent tried this yet

I pulled the brush side of the motor off ... I believe i found the problem... One of the wires to the brushes has seperated from the carbon... and the opposite side brush was still held back by the spring and had never touch the armature.. I could tell this by noticing there wasn't any wear on the carbon... Ordering a new set of brushes today

Its fixed!.... I pulled the motor ..windings looked great .. then i noticed that the 2 of the brushes never were engaged on the armature... so i reattached motor and checked for continuity on the 2 armature posts after assembly... saw continuity=... and there I go !!!
