Default 2006 precedent got wet.

Hi all I have a 2006 precedent and got the inside wet. I removed the negitive wire from the battery because the resistor was burning up with it connected. It did not seem to matter if it was in tow or not. Does this mean the controller is bad now? I'm sure it all has dried out by now and the cart wont move when I tried. Any help would be great. Thank you
Also is there a difference between a 1510a and 1510 controller? I found the 1510 controller on the web for a fair price but mine is the A model.

Take a leaf blower and blow everything out including the F/R switch.

Would that cause the resistor to get hot even though the key is off and the switch is in tow mode?

Starting to sound like a broken record with this problem huh?
Someone should make a sticky for " got my electronics wet"

I'll add that after you blow it dry I would spray all electrical switches and connections with w d -40. It was originally designed to displace water, hence the name water displacement test 40

If the water was conducting energy from something it shouldn't have been yes it could have been the cause of the heat.

I removed the switch and dried it out and also left it without the wires connect for the f/r switch and the resistor is still burning up. Also keep in mind i got this wet 3 weeks ago.
