Default cable getting hot

Hey all just had a situation wanted to run it by you'll just got back from a good ride and was about to check fluids and put on charge was checking cables and connections were all tight and the cable hooked to A2 was very hot motor was quite warm as well you could see where the glue from the heat shrink had ozzed out what should I look for to be causeing it to get that hot thanks in advance mike

Well Mike my first guess would be a cable that's going bad .... Corrosion has set in under the shrink wrap tubing..Take cable off and cut off shrink wrap tubing .... Inspect and repair if need ...

Turn the cable around to see if you move the problem ..... The cable to lug connection may be bad ... Heat means something is loose ... 2 gage cables should be able to carry all the amperage the motor needs with little to no heat ...

Is this a stock controller? A2 is the plug braking terminal.
