Default Slow 2001 Club Car

I recently purchased a reconditioned 2001 Club Car 48 volt with new batteries. It is the slowest cart in the park! My neighbor has a 36 volt stock EZ Go that blows me away. Any suggestions to get a little more sped out of this cart?

Welcome to the forum DaveyD....................

I would check with the place you got it from. They should have a programmer and it sounds like they never set the speed up on, it if it is a programmable car.

Does your car have a switch or a handle for forward and reverse?

Your car is supposed to drive about 12 mph. For faster speeds you need to consider motor/controller upgrades.

The place where I purchased the car has recommended the Admiral motor which will work with the OEM controller and give me speed of 22mph. Does anybody have any expierence with this motor?
Thanks
Dave

Dude. Where's your manners? The button you pushed to post this said post a reply - not start a new topic. Go to the section which best describes your cart and hit the post a new thread button. Ask away and there are people here to help with almost any topic.

One of the sponsers here is going to build me a motor that they said will do the same thing (get me in the 20's) and no other mods are needed but I wont have the motor for another week or so. I will post the results when I get and install it. I have an older 5 sol cart.
