I apologize, I misunderstood about your cart. Yes, you should be on the smallest range possible above 12VDC to get the most accurate reading. In the meantime I will try to find a wiring schematic of your particular cart.

. . . nothing ever gets grounded to the frame . . . everything gets grounded back to the battery pack . . .

Any ideas out there would be greatly appreciated. BTW the avatar isn't the cart in question:)
. . . if the headlights are working, then the reducer must be connected properly . . . as for the side markers/tail lights, go back to the basics and make sure you are spliced into the proper wires that are feeding the headlights and that all connections are making contact . . . it has to be something simple you are overlooking . . .

That's what I kind of thought from the outset. Since it is a wiring harness, and all lights worked initially when I hooked it up to a 12v ppower pack, I'm wondering if I broke a wire after wire tying everything together I guess the only way to know for sure is to unhook everything and hook up to my batterypower pack again. Electrical problems are always simple, after you find out what it is

Well here's the story. I brought my cart home this morning, unhooked the connectors, (actually cut them off and put new ones on), and all is good. Obviously there was weak connection or something going on. Any how the lights work. I luv a happy ending Thanx to those who replied
