Default What to do about Batteries?

Ok I'm all ears as I've read numerous threads on the goods and bads of different batteries. My issue is simple. I wanted US 145s. The only place in Mississippi is out of stock, keeps telling me they are on the way, now a 3 week ordeal and cost $161 each.

I've called and 3.5hrs from me I can get US 145s for $124-126 each.

I have not called to price the Trojan batteries, but I had heard they were pretty high.

The guy at interstate kept telling me today that their battery I think some XHD or something was just as good as those batteries. The interstate batteries are like $119.

Do I wait for 145s in town and blow $300 more bucks?
Do I drive 7 hrs round trip and save $200?
Or do I buy the Interstate batteries that are avail now and save the money?

I have blown a fortune on my new cart and just want whats best for it. So if driving 7 hrs is the needed thing thats fine. Let me add other then the other thread I made on my brakes not working, I just need these batteries to finish a 2 month project. I am tired of waiting, i just wish I didn't have to spend 161 for the ones availible in my area.

I would not buy the interstate batteries.

US batteries do not excite me, I have them in my DS, they sweat like pigs.

I went with trojans in my Precedent, great so far

If you just want the best for it as stated...You should go with Trojans...as they are now what Club Cars are rolling out the factory with again according to a recent post by TahoeDawg...who is this sites pro on Club Cars...I also prefer Trojans over any other battery and I'm a Yamaha dealer...But that just my 2 cents...

How much is it going to cost you for the 7 hr drive? I'd figure this into the equation!
I know two folks that bought US batteries, and have had no problems at all with them. This was a few years ago, too.

Check on the trojan 145's.... When I told my dealer that's what I wanted ( and they had them in stock ) they came down to $145/each.
