Club car electric 2001 tailights will not switch off
i have a2001 club car ds hooked headlights and tailights up to led on/off switch. as soon as i power up the fuse block taillights come on with out the switch in on position. i am a little confused when i turn the switch to on position headlights come on work perfect but when i turn the headlight switch off tailights remain on but headlights go off. the only way i can turn the tailights out is by turning off the power to fuse block there is a yellow wire in the dash that is not hooked up to anything. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Where is the relay for the brake pedal? I would check that - sounds like the relay isn't wired right.

Does it have brake lights ...? And when the cart is not in use the brake is on ....
If you don't have brake lights and just tail lights then you need to hook the tail lighs up with the head lights ...... |

Re: Club car electric 2001 tailights will not switch off
Does the yellow wire have power on it when the switch is off..?
Well if you have brake lights on it release the brake an see if they go out... If they do then you know that the power feed going to the brake switch needs to have a switch in it ...trace it back to the fuse block .. Then hook it up to when you turn the switch on you have power... |

Re: Club car electric 2001 tailights will not switch off
I have a similar issue....... Mine is, I put a light kit on my 1985 gas club car, 12volt system of course; light kit included halogen headlights & front turn signals, and LED taillights/turn signals. Everything works properly as it should. My only issue is the LED taillights continue to flash (just like hazards flashing), but its very faint. The kit was sold with the combination of Halogen and LED lights together. I'm wondering if the constant power to the flasher relay is feeding the LED taillights even when lights are tuned off. Is this normal for a low currency to pass thru the flasher relay even when not actuated to do so? Again its very faint, and everything works properly when you want it to, but LED taillights remain to flash even when off..... Do I need to install resistors to the LED lights? from what i understand I shouldn't need a voltage reducer using a 12volt system.
