Precedent 08 or 08.5 ?

I just purchased a 08 Precedent Club Car, it has not been delivered from the dealer yet, he is tuning it up and putting new Trojan batteries in it.

Ive been looking on accessory websites and some refer to 08 or 08.5, I guess they made a change in 08. How can I tell which one I have ?

The 2008.5 should have 6 batteries, the 2008 4 batteries. Better way, look at your serial number, the first numbers are the year and the next 2 numbers are the week of manufacture. For example AQ0834 is a 2008.5 model.

I have a 2008.5 with 4 12v batteries. I was told you have to look for the tow/drive switch. If it's towards the back of the cart behind the batteries then it's a 2008.5.

This is not fact. This is what I was told.

Yes, the 2008.5 also came with the 4X12 setup. The difference is the 2008 has a devider in the battery bay that runs right between the driver and passenger. This does not allow for 6X8 setup. The open bay on 2008.5 with the tow/run at the back will allow for both setups.

Mine does not have the divider so this would make it a 2008.5 if the info is correct.
