Need advice 93 cc ds motor (upgrade?)

So here's my dilemma.... I have lifted and converted my CC from the bottom up, minus the MOTOR. I have a 6" lift and 22" tires on my cart and have recently converted it from 36 to 48v using scotty b's Conversion kits and now have a 500 amp controller and all the accessories that go with the conversion. I'm running 8 6v batteries also. Here's my problem. My 93 CC DS stock motor gets really hot and starts to smoke when I use my cart on really steep hills on the farm (Which is what I intend to use it for-HUNTING!) What options do I have for changing out my motor or getting it redone? I want TORQUE not speed. I could care less about going fast on the farm. I'm a die hard bow hunter and want to get to and from my best hunting spots without detection, hince the electric cart project comes to life.

I've called PQ and the certain guy I talked to told me that the only motor they had for my particular model cart was over 700 bucks!

I am not looking to spend any more than 400 bucks if I can avoid it if at all possible. This project sure has gotten pricy!!!!!!!!

keep the 36 volt motor and call them back ask how much if you send your motor in to have it done.....that should cut cost in half and your better off staying with a 36 volt motor anyways.....................................

IF you have REALLY STEEP hills you are going to need a very well made high torque motor to climb them. The stock motor can only do so much, even with increased voltage and amperage. It is only a 1-3 hp motor.
A couple hundred dollars (at this point) may be the difference between satisfaction and disappointment or system failure.
I know you have everything in place already to run a 10hp torque motor, you can bolt it in and go.

So is d and d mo only option? PQ didn't act like they had any torque motors compatible with my cart

There are other motors out there but, D&D has some good stuff.

This is exactly what I want to do to my 93 CC. Do you have any pics of the cart and your set up? Can you give me any ideas of cost and if there were any problems doing the conversion. I will get mine from ScottyB also. Where did you stick the other 2 batteries? Lift kits type? I am looking at an a arm lift to replace the one I have?

I have about the same set up all upgrades from scottyb awesome stuff great person to deal with my extra two batteries are in the bagwell 23 inch swamp foxes all his dirrections are good and easy to follow
