Default 92 club car 36v wiring

I'm new here but I've done some research my 36v motor has four terminals from top to bottom in a row one is at the far top the other three are at the bottom all close together. I have three different wiring diagrams printed off all three conflict one another using my best judgement based on what wires were in place when I got the cart i wired it last night when I placed last wire from F/R controller to battery big sparks I think I can get the wiring right but with no labels on terminals of battery how can I verify A1,A2, and S1,S2? this is my first cart and I'm getting a little frustrated thanks in advance for any help... Also this cart has V glide controllor and resistor coil old wiring conflicts with what i believe to be correct diagram I found on this site.... But who knows people do strange things with wiring sometimes.

The terminal ID should be stamped into the case next to the studs.
