Default charger

I received my new charger today. I won it on ebay at a very good price. It seems to be working BUT it gets very hot to the touch. Is this normal ???? My other charger didn't get hot !!!! Its a POWERDRIVE 3 . I guess its working right. I pluged it in for afew hours and it wasn't fully charged but i unpluged it and went for a short ride before dark. So i could see if it was working AND IT WAS !!!! But it sure gets hot !!!! Any replys ?????
