Stiff / Bouncy Ride on 03' Club Car
2003 Club Car (my second) and both have been a very bouncy and stiff ride. Put a Jake's lift on the first with some fat tires at 8 PSI. When you hit a good bump it would almost throw you out of the seat. My older ezgo was far smoother. Have not lifted this one yet but need a smoother ride. Seems to come from rear axle mostly. Used for hunting almost exclusively.
Please help! |

Re: Stiff / Bouncy Ride on 03' Club Car
Welcome to BGW brewbaker!
Yep... the stiffness comes from the heavy duty rear leaf springs, and it can be quite "bone jarring" at times! You can either remove a leaf or 2 for the HD springs, or with your latest cart, you can use the stock springs with leaf spring helpers. Here's where you can find the helper leafs: http://www.cartpartsplus.com/helper-...r-or-ezgo.html |

Good idea! I havent seen these before. I always just upgrade to the HD springs. Rather have a rough ride than tear up anything hauling loads. For sure this will be used on my next cart. Thanks!!!

I won't be adding the back seat, just a small carrier for deer and gear. Mostly used for two passengers to and from stands. Do replace what is there with these helper leafs? No idea what is on there now, just whatever is stock Im sure.

Re: Stiff / Bouncy Ride on 03' Club Car
Two passengers and gear will be enough to make the stock springs squat,
and depending if your deer carrier is a trailer, or a hitch carrier, that just adds more to the equation, With the loads your expecting to carry... I think the helpers may be a good start if you want a "less stiff" ride! |
