Electric 86 Club Car
I recently purchased a 1986 Club Car. It currently uses 6 US 2200 Batteries. Do I need to buy the same batteries or can I buy another brand for cheaper?
I was reading the stickies with Battery comparisons but would love some input on a suggested battery I should get. |

Re: Electric 86 Club Car
Get the largest amp hour capacity you can afford.
When it comes to performance, the bottom line is most influenced by amp hour capacity. By performance I don't mean fastest, I mean longevity. A smaller capacity battery will work harder and be discharged deeper than a larger battery under the same work load. Deep discharges shorten the useful life of the battery... Even a difference of say 30-40% between charges reduces the number of times a battery can fully recover under charge. I hope this info helps. |

Thanks for your input guys. So should I stick with the same battery brand? If so where is everyone going online to purchase them?

I think shipping is a problem with charged batteries.... check your local sources.

Re: Electric 86 Club Car
I found batteries at a local repair shop. The owner reurbished and certified them, also gave me a limited warranty. Paid a lot lest for them an have not had any problems. Recomend checking at some repair shops!

Re: Electric 86 Club Car
I strongly recommend against buying used batteries! Buy good new ones and treat them right and they will last a long time.
