Default New Seat Covers

My last cart was a ezgo txt which I bought aftermarket seat covers for. It was very simple, remove a few screws and the wood backing came free of the molded plastic, staple on new covers and viola, its done. Now to my question, how do seat covers attatch to the back rest of the Precedents? There does not appear to be any wood. For that matter there doesn't seem to be any substrate. What am I not seeing here?
