2001 Club car 48 volt inop need help T/S

Trying to help an older lady down the street with a 2001 Club car. She had the batteries replaced about a week ago. Now the cart will not run. When I press the gas pedal it jumps slightly on initial movement of the pedal, then has no response. She tells me that the charger will not cut off when charging. Battery pack voltage is 52 Volts. Solenoid clicks but seems to have pack voltage on both sides of it at all times. I think if I hold the pedal just right in that spot it will move a bit.
I have tried to reset the OBC and cleaned all the terminal ends on the pack wires. Battery light on the dash comes on at random times.
Any help would be appreciated I am new to T/S Club car.

Is the Fwd/Rev - lever operated (series motor) or toggle switch (regen/sepex motor).

The FWD and Rev Lever is a lever actuated system.
I guess a series motor.

With a new battery pack it is quite normal for the charger to initially only switch off when the 16hr limit is reached.
If your solenoid is clicking then it seems you are getting power to it therefor the on/off switch, potentiometer micro switch, fwd/rev micro switch and the negative to the OBC are ok. Disconnect the 3 16g wires (red, yellow and green) from the Controller and with a multimeter set to 200v place the red probe on the disconnected red wire and the black probe on the B- terminal of the controller. With the accelerator at rest there shud be 0v, when the solenoid clicks voltage shud be battery pack (52v) You are at least getting power to the controller. Disconnect the batteries and the 16g purple wire from the controller B- terminal. With the multimeter set to 20k ohms place the red probe on the disconnected yellow wire and the black probe on the disconnected purple wire. With the accelorator at rest it shud show no continuity. As you press the accelerator the reading shud go up to +-5k ohms but not more than 7k ohms. If not then your pot. is faulty. If it does then jumper the solenoid large posts with a 6g wire, reconnect everything and if the cart goes, replace the solenoid. If not then its either the controller or the motor. If your solenoid has a resistor across the 2 large posts then you will get similar voltage reading across both with the cart at rest, if you don't have the resistor then your solenoid terminals are welded closed and the solenoid should be replaced. Most seem to recommend a 750 ohm resistor for 48v carts although CC did use a 250 ohm, but one should be fitted as it precharges the controller.
