This may be a dumb question, but I dont know much about the MCOR's.
Do they make any sort of upgraded MCOR, or is there just a stock one that you have to replace? I am about to order one and was just trying the get the best one.

I am a little late, but 100% agree, its the MCOR. I have a 2006 precedent and after I added my 500 amp alltrax controller it did the same thing. Cleaned the MCOR and it worked like a charm!

carnejm, so all you did was clean the MCOR and it worked? I havent ordered one yet, I just didnt know if the MCOR is something that needs cleaning from time to time, or if the MCOR's eventually need replacing every so often.

Nothing to clean its enclosed. I tried pulling my old one apart but could not do it. Maybe he is talking about cleaning the connector and terminals.

I've read this thread... I'm going to ask a question on this forum for a change instead of answer one... Could the bad MCOR not be detected with the AllTrax software? With the Curtis software it's easy to watch for throttle fluctuations. I have zero experience with Alltrax so this is all new to me.

There is definitely a way to monitor it. There is a throttle position monitor, that goes by percent which is why we say you only go to 90% throttle with the stock map. The new map shows 96-100%.

I am not sure this is gunna be an accurate way of determining if the MCOR is faulty though. I watched it and the cart does not really move until its at 30-40% but jerk before that.

But yes it does fluctuate on my old one, really only looked at full thjrottle though, it was like 85-90% with old map.

Yes.... You are correct. I sprayed them down with WD40 and scrubbed with a fine toothbrush then wiped clean. Ran perfect afterwards.

It's been a month since my last post. It appears my trouble with the Alltrax controller is over. Since setting my controller to 1 and throttle down to 5, I have had no more problems. When I had the controller set at 3 on the throttle up after a few weeks I began to get jumpy starts. Makes me wonder if the contoller set up a memory. Anyway, with my throttle up set at 1 my trouble is gone. And yes I did replace the MCOR with a new one and the trouble did return.

I installed the TPS to MCOR conversion kit on my 2009 precedent last weekend in order to get my Alltrax DCX 500 to work because It wouldn't do anything with the TPS type throttle. I have my throttle up set on 8 with 100% output and I can make the cart slowly take off smooth or spin the back tires if I floor it at take off. I hope I don't have any issues down the road like you mentioned.
