It is a 1994 V glide. How do I know if there is a controller? Sorry for my ignorance. Everything I have learned about these carts has happened in the last month. I have a long way to go.

Thanks for the help so far.

I do not see a controller behind the batteries. There are four cables that connect to the motor. 1 comes from the batteries, one from the resistor coils and 2 from the F/R switch.

It can have a v-glide (a Resistor type) and a controller, so ? Controller?

Is it possible that the F/R switch is shot?

Troubleshooting this cart will require a voltmeter.
