94 36 volt club car solenoid?
I am side tracked from my steering issue.
About a month ago, my wife took the cart out for a drive. She got to a stop sign and the cart would not move. She moved the F/R swith back and forth, then turned it off and on, cart moved. Last night, the same thing happened to me, but it worked again. When I did get it home, I smelled something hot. This morning, the cart was dead. When I turn the key, there is no click. Once the cart is on, I get a loud click when the accelerator pedal is depressed. I assume this is the solenoid making the noise. Is this most likely the solenoid causing the problem? If so, is it an easy fix on this cart? From what I have read, I believe it is a V-Glide with one solenoid in front of the batteries. I appreciate any help one can give. I called a local shop and they wanted $130 just to pick up the cart and deliver it back home. |

Uh Oh, I tried to jump the solenoid, I heard a pop and it no longer clicks. Is this bad?

Solenoids can 'fry' in the open or the closed position. Does sound like you need a new one

Re: 94 36 volt club car solenoid?
I picked up and installed a new solenoid, still won't work. There is no sound even when the key is turned on. Any suggestions?

Re: 94 36 volt club car solenoid?
Is that in the F/R switch?
I went out and replaced both microswitches (one in the V Glide and one in the F/R switch.) I now have the solenoid popping when the gas is pressed, but the cart still does not move? |

It "pops" when the pedal is pressed then makes no noise.
