Club Car Precedent Slowed down after Lift ?

I have a 2009 Club Car Precedent , 2011 Batteries 6-8 volt system , I added the High speed motor with all else stock and was reaching speeds up to 26 MPH with no problem , I ordered and installed a 3 inch Allsport A-Arm lift and New 20 Inch tires with Aluminum wheels , I was thinking the speed would increase or at least stay the same , however I have noticed a drop to 19 or 20 MPH top speed . The Motor guy says it the added weight , any thoughts or ideas ?

are you sure your front end is aligned right?if not your front tires will put a little more drag on your cart.as for more weight added to your cart,i dont think its enough of a difference between the stock stuff and the lift,mabee 20 or 30 pounds,you would never tell the diff.

I did a basic alignment based on advice from Allsport that consisted of measuring from the center line on the front of the (front) wheels and the back of the front wheels , its very close.
