1980 Club Car...wiring
My dad has a 1980 Club Car. The wiring was rigged. I got the wiring diagram...but have some questions about the key switch. This cart has a Forward and a Reverse microswitch on the forward/reverse switch. Should the keyswitch be wired to both microswitches for forward and reverse as well to the (-) charger post? Any help would be much appreciated!!! I am learning this electrical stuff ... I know more about cars...

Re: 1980 Club Car...wiring
The wiring diagram is for 1981...which only has 1 f/r microswitch. I think the 1980 is an odd year and they changed things....
I put a wire to the key switch to both f/r microswitches...but still does not do anything. |

Re: 1980 Club Car...wiring
ok how about the microswitches is the silver box with red end caps? theres 5 of them in there 1 for each solenoid......box is on frame rail by front left battery.....if its not a bad solenoid it has to be a the microswitch in box because even with a bad keyswitch cart should run with master jumped.....check micro,s in silver box.............................
