precedent seat bottom

Can you replace the plastic seat bottom with a wooden one, or is the seat foam itself glued to the plastic? I have new covers on the way.

The seat foam itself is glued to the plastic... However, if you order a new seat from a dealer you'll get a wooden seat. Be sure to order the new hand rails to go with it.

My seat covers came in, and decided to put them on today. The back rest went on, not easy, but it went on. The staples went into the plastic without issue. The seat bottom is another story. That plastic is harder than hammered hell, the staples won't go in.

Good call, picked up a wide crown stapler for 20.00. It work somewhat better then electric stapler, but the seat bottom was still a major PITA. If I ever recover a Precedent seat bottom again, I will switch to wooden bottom and throw the plastic away.
