2008 precedent is slow

had a 2008 precedent come in last week, goes slow in fowards. goes normal speed in reverse. i did the speed sensor test. rolled it and listened for the beep and got nothing. replaced the sensor and i still have the same issue. is there anything else that will cause these symptoms. pack voltage was 51 volts and stays consistant when driving never drops below 48.4 when i got the cart in.. i also checked for broken wires and didnt see any. is there anyway the magnet can be cracked? how do i check that? i never had to deal with pulling the motor magnet

alright i found a cpl small magnetic pieces stuck in there.so now i guess i gta replace the magnet. anyone know how i pull it out? thanks bird

What kind of motor is it? A GE or an ADC? ADC motors are black with a top-hat shaped speed sensor. GE motors are dark grey with a flat snap in style sensor.

You've got to pull the end cap off of the motor and slowlly work it off with a wide flathead screwdriver. Be careful installing the new one. Hit it with a small hammer around the edge of the steel base LIGHTLY around in circles until you get it secured. Do not hit the magnet itself. Then reassemble the motor.

i forgot the update on this older post. the magnet was broke off. that thing is a booger to get back on, well the bearing lock was anyway. thanks for the help guys..
