1993 battery meter
I just installed a battery meter on the my 93 DS cart and it seemed fine showing full charge but when it got to half the cart quit moving. I am not sure what the issue could be I charged it again and it did the same thing. Going to check for loose connects first.

Re: 1993 battery meter
Go ahead and check all the connections, but, purchase a digital multimeter ($20) and learn how to use it.

Re: 1993 battery meter
Yea I have a Digital meter. I figure it is going to be my best friend working on this cart. Thanks I have other problems not just the battery meter. My son was riding it in the back yard and the pedal got stuck and started smoking. Disconnected the batteries and turned the key off. the wiper contact and one of the contacts on the vglide we stuck together. I guess I will be replacing the Vglide or should I go with a controller. Would it be worth it to switch to a controller or stick with the Vglide.

Re: 1993 battery meter
93 CC was the change year, mid way CC started offering solid state. They kept making both resistor and ESC carts until 2004 when they finally dropped the resistor coil option..
Resistor coil carts are okay for golf and short trips around the trialed park / camp grounds and the like. They just won't handle the heat if you're off road or modified. But converting them isn't cheap, you might be best off learning to repair what you have. |
