Default seat plywood thickness

I need to rebuilt seats in a '88 CC DS. Is 5/8" plywood thick enough for seat base? How about the rear seat backs? My original plywood is so damaged it's impossible to know how thick they were.

Thanks.

The original is 1/2 but I made my new one out of 3/4 so 5/8 should be fine.
