Default 1999 Club Car Slow to charge

I have bought my first cart . A 1999 club car,and I find it very slow to charge.
I usually plug it when the amber light goes off , and it take for ever to charge I have seen the charger stop buzzing only once since I have it and this was after about 16-18 hours charge. I use it on a camping ground, and I would like to have it fully charged overnight ready for the next day. But it take usually take the evening, the full night and a good part of the next morning This make it usable very little over the week end! Amps meter needle usually go up to 5 or 7 and I usually unplug it at about 1.5 or 2 several hour later after been sick of waiting to see it running for ever.

Is that normal to take so long to charge? Please help me !

If you have not done so, you need to check the condition of your batteries with a load tester or a voltmeter and hydrometer. It should not take more than overnight in the worst case senario. My 48 CC with a Lester charges in 5 hours any day. But, I don't let it get below 48/49 volts. One bad cell can cause the condition you are describing.

when its taking that long its an indication that it might be time for new batteries or at least go over the cables and terminals ............clean them real well to see if that makes a difference if not than have batteries tested............................................ ..

I spoke to a technician who told me it might be the computer that needs to be reseted. I also noticed my Amber warning light comes on and off but never stay on. When I plug the charger it rarely go more than 7.5. Can it really be the computer ??
