I put on a few, they always screwed into the front roof support frame... I threw their cheap screws away and used self taping pan head screws or truss head screws.

I just found this photo of another company's extension brackets that look the same as DIY's brackets:
http://www.golfcarcatalog.com/produc...el-Mirror.html

I'm more comfortable drilling through the supports than I am through the plastic roof.

Well my last post showing how the other companies brackets are installed STILL doesn't work on mine. They don't line up.

Apparently this one will fit: http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/prod...R%20UNV%202496

I bought mine from this company, and it fit perfectly on my '02 DS

I almost posted a sarcastic answer but instead
this what I would do. measure and drill new holes in the brackets and cut the extra off.
Use a folding or ridged ruler to make accurate measurements.
Smooth the cut ends with a file and paint.
It should take 15 minutes.
They probably won't vibrate as much.

Only takes 15 minutes if you have the tools to cut through something like that which I don't. I guess I will just continue to sit on this project until I can find someone who does. Thank you for the easy answer.

I do have to say though, it really *x(*&%#! sucks that when you purchase a bracket specifically for this purpose and specifically for you cart that it still doesn't work.

The first link you posted is what I bought. The second link you posted is for a Precedent, which isn't what I have.

Bayberry, do you have the five panel #2496 wink mirror? If so, the first link brackets should work, as they are for 81-99. I don't see what the problem is???
